Meet Afua Osei.

Afua is a Partnerships Strategist and the co-founder of She Leads Africa. 

She Leads Africa is a platform that gives women the community, information and inspiration they need to live the lives of their dreams.

As a Partnerships Strategist, Afua helps other young women by giving them the tools and skills they need to expand and scale their businesses.

Afua has always been passionate about serving the community around her and this is what led her to starting her businesses. She was born and raised in the U.S. in the Washington D.C. area to Ghanaian parents. While studying, she was offered an internship in Lagos, Nigeria and this is where She Leads Africa was born.

Since then, Afua has been recognized by Forbes as one of the 20 youngest power women in Africa (2014), Quartz Africa 30 innovators of 2017 and received the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy Rising Star Award (2020) among many other recognitions.

Afua has taken all the lessons she’s learnt from her experience in corporate and from running She Leads Africa and is now implementing that in her work with small businesses and creators as a Partnerships Strategist.

In this episode she tells us about her journey navigating living, starting businesses and growing them in new countries as well as how she is helping the economy around her starting with women everywhere.
