Meet Liz Letsoalo

In today’s episode, we sit down with Liz Letsoalo.

Liz is the founder of Masodi Organics which is an online-based beauty shop that makes and sells 100% natural hair and skin products. She is currently working on launching Rave, a mobile beauty service that brings hair, makeup and nail services to clients in the comfort of their home.

Liz started off her career in corporate and has a background in Industrial Engineering and also has interests in politics and governance.

She recently partook in a fellowship journey through Apolitical Academy, a program that is aimed at grooming the next generation of ethical leaders.

Over and above all of this, I can personally say that Liz’s personality is so radiant and definitely shines through in the podcast.

Get to know Liz Letsoalo

What are the 3 words you would use to describe yourself?

Passionate, political, caring

What is your biggest fear about the future?

That one day our planet will succumb to our greed and disregard for it

What would be the title of your memoir and why?

“The dream and the hope of the slave…” for a memoir that highlights my aspirations for the world. It’s my favorite line from Dr. Maya Angelou’s poem, Still, I Rise. It just resonates so much with me.

What gets you out of bed every morning?

Doing work that I am truly passionate about, but whose impact is also a reality to my own eyes.

What is your definition of success?

“Liking myself, liking what I do and liking how I do it”. I can’t find a better way to articulate it than how Dr. Maya Angelou put it.

One fun fact about you?

I went to boarding school since I was 12. I like to joke that I technically raised myself.
