Meet Mogau Seshoene also known as Lazy Makoti.
Mogau started off her career in corporate but left to pursue her passion of cooking. She saw a gap in the market where there wasn’t a large offering of local cuisine and decided to fill that gap with her passion.
After leaving corporate, she studied and qualified as a professional chef and began offering cooking lessons to young women.
She has also gone on to write a cookbook of local cuisine called The Lazy Makoti’s Guide to the Kitchen which has led her to place second place in the Best First Cookbook category at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in Macao, China. The awards are as she calls them the Olympics of the cooking world. The book is also currently on its 7th reprint.
She has also headlined Zam Fest, Zambia ‘s biggest food and music festival and has tuly made her mark as a chef.
