02 Mar March Books of the Month by ziyanda
By Siya Khumalo
This book takes you down a journey of learning and is likely to remove stereotypes heterosexuals have about homosexuality. It’s such a necessary piece of literature, it should be a set work in schools! The book is a balance between Siya’s own experiences as a black-ZULU-Christian-gay man living in South Africa and his views on politics, religion and of course, sexuality. It’s all the good things – bold, well written, witty, refreshing and relevant! The best part about it is reading it in public – that cover page and title are sure to draw some interesting reactions!

Tuesday’s with Morrie
By Mitch Albom
After learning that his old professor has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND or ALS), Mitch Albom pays Prof. Schwartz a visit after years of neither seeing nor talking to him. This turns into a serious of weekly meetings between the two. The meetings took place on Tuesdays and Schwartz imparted lessons on life in each one, lessons you need to hear, remember and treasure. “Tuesdays with Morrie” is the book that everyone needs to read! It’s truly life-changing and a relatively easy read!
