Meet Amanda Kandawire-Khoza.

Amanda is a Pilot, Digital Illustrator and Entrepreneur. If you’ve been following She Brigade for some time now you would know that Amanda is also the artist behind our amazing cover art. Read more about this HERE.

In this episode, Amanda takes us through the journey of how she decided at the age of 5 that she was going to become a pilot and relentlessly pursued that dream until it became a reality despite many many challenges. She then became the first black South African female to fly the prestigious A380 Emirates airbus.

Throughout this whole journey, Amanda has always had a creative side and started her digital illustration company Layover Art, as well as her handmade clay earrings shop, Buyiswa.
